CBS preempted Love Island on August 26th.

Preemption: the interruption or replacement of a scheduled radio or television program.

They didn’t show Love Island on Wednesday because Tough as Nails had the preempt spot. CBS must share the airtime with their other programs.

The next preemption will be on Wednesday, September 2nd.  This is also the season finale of Tough as Nails.

CBS will continue Love Island‘s regular programming on the following Wednesdays, which is also week 3 of the season.

They may preempt the show again later in the season. The schedule shown on CBS predates three weeks.

Moving forward we’ll need to check our local tv listings for the schedule.

The Love Island generally airs every night at 9pm ET/PT on CBS.

On Saturdays Love Island: More to Love will begin at 8pm to 10pm ET/PT. This isn’t the main show. It’s a weekly recap that features interviews and bloopers of the main show.
